The Brown’s gas torch.

I have created two previous versions of this fascinating device and am nearly finished with the third. This model is a series cell electrolyzer based on stainless steel cylinders, which gives me a great surface area and keeps the cell voltage low (necessary for the proper creation of Brown’s gas.) It is in a stainless cylindrical shell which is also an active cell.

I have also created a somewhat “universal” capacitive power supply that when adjusted correctly, can limit the voltage AND amperage to the unit. I’m still tweeking it a bit – the bi-polar capacitors are not behaving as I expected. Mostly, it does work though.

My wife and I have been on the road for a while now, so it has been difficult (but not impossible) to make progress. I did most of the micro-processor programming here on the road.
